The K started out as a boxy six-passenger car with a front bench seat, powered by a new 2.2 liter “Trans Four” motor, with a Mitsubishi “Silent Shaft” 2.6 as an option. The sometimes-troublesome Mitsubishi motor was later dropped in favor of a fuel-injected Chrysler 2.5. Thanks to its light weight, none of the engines was too sluggish, even with the common three-speed automatic.

Oh man do I love turbo dodges. 
u bet i did. it was the loudest surviving 2.2/2.5 rod knock ever. my neighbors told me they knew i was comming many blocks away because of the knock.
it’s funny. i can still get into a k-car at work and bootleg it better than any other car i have driven. like in drive and moving forward after a perfect 180 seamlessly on the first try good.
