What it means is that automatic transmissions should be outlawed.
Toyota let quality slip in their quest to become the world’s biggest auto manufacturer. Now they’ve not only taken GM’s place, they’ve become GM. The General, meanwhile, has done its best to become Chrysler — read: bankrupt — and Chrysler is on its way to becoming AMC — read: extinct. Ford of America might just become another version of Ford of Europe, which would be a good thing. Honda is becoming more like the Toyota of 5-10 years ago with every new model they unveil, except they found a way to make the cars ugly in addition to boring. BMWs have gotten fatter than Mercs and Mercs have become glitchier than Jaguars, and the biggest surprise is that Jaguars now look generically unattractive, as opposed to the Bimmers and Mercs which are fugs in entirely unique ways. And I wonder how many sports car guys from the old days are shocked that Porsche 911s have been outweighing Corvettes by 300 lbs. or so for more than a decade now.
It was said on the internet, therefore it MUST be true.
It’s an opinionated article. Just because at least one person agrees with it, means at least 10 people disagree with it. I believe the article in maybe one or two areas, but nothing else really. The only older cars I prefer is early 90’s Audi’s (which brings me to my next point: anyone looking for a 93 Audi S4?) and some Japanese cars.
that guy should be the head of Obamas auto task force. hes 100% right. fuck toyota, thats what they get for trying to take over the world. ford and honda ftw.
anything before 94-98 or so FTMFW for performance-oriented purposes, price, even looks in my opinion. obviously the newer the better the most part for a DD. i’ll take my 88 mr2’s, ae86’s, s13’s/14’s, miata’s, e30/36’s etc etc etc. thanks.
