STFU n00b

i think there is a level of decency that everyone should use in public… it does irratate me to walk downtown and hear some asshole say ‘fuck’ 15 times when a woman and her daughter are trying to shop @ kaufmanns… it’s just my opinion that you don’t need to be vulgar all the time…

granted it’s your ‘right’ to say whatever you want, but when people act with no judgement, shit goes down.

i’ll go online and look at naked pictures of janet jackson if i want… i don’t think it was needed to bust out her tit on national tv during a superbowl, when all this censorship shit started.

and it’s not like stern isn’t out of line most of the time.

i’ll parent my kids… but i don’t think i should have to watch them with lock and key because some inconsiderate piece of shit feels the need to say fuck during daytime tv.

i’m totally not FOR censorship… just saying that people do go over the top for no good reason.

they don’t on broadcast channels or basic cable.

take the 10 minutes to lock profane shit out without a code.

Sonny I;m going to have to agree, since it is the right of people, you have th right to parent your children how you see fit as long as it doesn’t affect other people’s right.

You can’t litigate “taste in material” and I believe that was held up in the supreme court last when larry flint went there.

agreeing with me again? damn…that’s crazy.

yeah you and redneck better watch out…lol

well that’s exactly what this bill is trying to do??? and that’s my point… what the fuck?

i’ll take the 10 minuets for hte lock, i just forgot a commercial for kraft foods has to have a dude saying “buy some fucking mac n cheese cocksuckers”

thats extreme but that would be cool as hell

I’d buy that for a dollar

I have no issue with profanity on channels you pay for such at HBO, etc. basic cable is no place for that. I don’t want my kids watching Nick toons or something and them droping sexual terms or profane language.

Look at it this way. in the 50’s when censorship was very high were people more polite? sure they were. I am not saying technolgy should go back to that but I do believe the Government should censor what children hear. Also what about the kids who grow up with families that don’t care. should that be a sentance for them never to come above where they were raised? If that is the case blacks would still have no rights as well as women. you think if Martin L King was raised in a society that glorified bad language, violence, etc he would have become a minister as well as do the things he did for the black society as a whole? I sure doubt it.

Censorship should be done tastefully. And for you Darkstar- if you hate our country so much move to denmark or something I am sure they need pool boys there just as bad.

PS- the people who wrote the constitution wrote it in the context of the times. they didnot want people to use the F bomb is public places kind of how sonny explained it

Fuck is just a word, get over it…

the bill would censor all cable, wouldn’t it?

think about South Park, The Sopranos, Adult Swim… hell, Curb Your Enthusiasm.

IMO I wouldn’t let any of my kids watch that crap till they were at least in their mid teens. so yes it should be censored…IMO of course

that’s not the issue.

this bill wants to make it so NO ONE can watch “that crap”.

fuck those fascist cocksuckers and their faggoty little bill.

that is what blockbuster is for. I would rather have to rent it than my kid be exposed to it

as much of a conservative I am. It’s your job as a parent to monitor what your children watch, and don’t watch. I say keep the smut on the premium channels, and be a fuckin parent, and do your job to keep it out of your kid’s viewing.

Censoring HBO, Cinemax, Showtime etc? Umm, hell no. Censoring Satellite radio? Hell no again. Theyre premium services in which the public pays for. Censoring Network television, and cable? Isn’t this already done? I know Comedy Central pushes the limits to the max, with the ability to not have to censor past 10pm, which is in the current FCC guidelines. Why not stick with it, it isn’t broken.

As far as your children watching premium channels? TV, Cable, and Satellite boxes all have parental codes for reasons. Use them.

What I find funny is, we’re one of the most “censored” countries in the world, yet we have one of the highest Crime %'s in the world. I’m sure theyre not related, but someone brought up that point about being polite and what not, just thought I’d throw that unrelated comment in there too.

I also agree but if it is everything or nothing I chose censor everything

Taken from Larry Flynt back in the 1970s. “If you take a picture of murder, or grotesque scenes of violence during war time, or of criminal acts/illegal acts, and publish it in Time magazine, you’re given a pullitzer prize. If you take a picture of genitalia, or of a couple performing sexual acts, which are legal, and everyone performs and publish it, you’re fined, and thrown in prison for indecency.”

dude do you drink beer?

When you have kids if there is beer in your house do you need the federal government to “regulate” that for you and tell your kids they shouldn’t drink? No you tell you kid if he is caught you will knock him into next tuesday. Same thing, you have to regualte your kids yourself. If you are too lazy and want other people to do it for you dip you cock in acid and save everyone the headache.

your statement is just pure lazyness on your part.

Next thing you know you will get fined for pressing your religous beliefs on others on a car forum… So watch what you wish for…

beer is one thing that I can count and know if someone drank it. I cannot tell what my kids watch when I am not there.

as for the religious beliefs I am not pressing it on anyone. if you want to hear about it you can if you don’t well that is up to you

You know whats really funny,
On PCNC. They have a Plastic Surgery show on and show nudity Un-edited.

I guess its Informational
