this is the best question you have ever asked me. here is my answer:
If you read what is to happen Jesus will not come back to live on earth. at the beginning of the rapture he decends into the clouds and takes the believers with him to heaven. Think of it. mothers having babies disappear before their eyes, a couple laying in bed and in the morning one wakes up and the other is gone. I gives me chills thinking about it.
at that point a man will pretty much make peace between the nations to become a world leader(the anti christ) for 7 years the earth will prossper. the next 7 years he will mark people with the mark of the beast. if deny him he will torture you and kill you. People will try to commit suicide but they will fail. Just think someone jumps from a bridge and can’t die. if you do take God into your heart during this time and make it through the torture when God returns at the end of those 7 years to cast the devil into hell forever you will be saved. if you do not take God into your heart you are cast into the pit with the devil. at that point the world will continue for 1000 years. at which point God will come back and rule take everyone to heaven that believes.
so in short he doesn’t return here for a long time to reside if ever(I am not sure if he will turn the world to heaven after the 1000 years or if the world is destroyed and people go to heaven or hell at that point).
I also truely believe when the bible said a dragon with 10 heads and 10 crowns comes from the sea and attacks man kind it is a literal meaning. that is can be construde as some sort of analyzation of the devil and there isn’t literally a dragon and that is just how you veiw it but I take the Bible literally.

There are other countries in the world. They let “bad” stuff on tv. They work just fine. They are equal, worse, and better in some ways than the us. But they manage to funciton just fine with naughty stuff on tv. Maybe you missread something.

Not a great deal of color on ABC, NBC, CBS. ABC has George Lopez. Theo Huxtible is on that show with Jason Alexander - a first for him since there weren’t any black people on Sienfeld. Most of prime time has the “token” black guy and that’s it. And they are funny and/or athletic. Why doesn’t the West Wing have a black guy running for president?

We’ll agree to disagree on Canada. I love Toronto, Canada has a much better road racing scene BUT NASCAR is now partners with a oval track body up there so I’m not sure going up there is wise. Not a knock on oval racing - just on a lot of redneck (not all) NASCAR fans. Plus the show “Mounties” is great. Nothing but drunk people up there.

Thats all you have to worry about is right there. You are going to teach your kid(s). Leave it at that. You can’t censor the world and they are going to encounter more inlife than they are on the TV. If your kid is watching that much TV then shame on you for not tossing them outside. Isn;t your kid going to go to school? if so don;t worry about the soaps because 98% of the time your kid won;t be there. The other 2% yoru wife or you can censor that from them…

Quite personally I would rather have my kids exposed to this minimally and me be there to monitor it instead of them having culture shock once they do get into high school or out on there own.
I try to be serious about most things I do or believe in.
