damn  wish I had the extra cash

480p and only 900 lumens, only good for DVD and dark rooms

Would be great for a dark room, but add in any ambient light and you might have issues. But even on a 480i/480p signal having a projector still kicks ass regardless.

I had a projector once that was 3600 lumens - you could get a tan off of that thing.

if someone wants a 720p or 1080p projector for gaming and hockey games fine, go spend 3k. i dont care.

“So, in conclusion here, if you are not looking to spend $1500 (today’s stree prices), the InFocus IN72 looks to be the best overall projector available for your home entertainment solution. The IN72 delivers a bright image, with great black levels and shadow detail. It’s good looking, easy to use, and delivers the extra performance that it’s slightly higher than the competition, to make it a very good value for the money spent.”
