injector cleaner

which is the best injector cleaner off the shelf? i heard stp is good, but i have no idea?

Amsoil PI

Best stuff.

I heared injector cleaner is not a good idea with turbo cars, is this true? or is it ok

where can i get it? canadian tire? part sorce? is it one of those ones where u just ad it to ur gas?

Im pretty sure its fine. Combustion is combustion. Maybe just keep the boost lower just in case the cleaner lowers octane rating.

Exactly, if you do run it, make sure you take it easy that tank. No matter what anyone says, injector cleaner lowers octance. It can’t be flamable (have any hydrocarbons) or stores would need special liscences to have it transported. Look at SeaFoam if you do not believe me.

Liqui-Moly Jectron has an amazing rep with toyota guys. I’ve used it on a few of my past turbo cars and it’s been great.

One place on whyte ave sells it:

Autorola Electri-City

10151 82 Ave
Edmonton, Alberta
780-432-9337

Many guys have had crazy results with this stuff, mostly older turbo cars (I doubt our SR’s and CA’s have as gummed up injectors as those old supras)

Personally I am a fan of the Motul stuff. Which you can also get from the guys at autorolla

well my car is not a turbo, so i assume it wil still have a good affect on my car?

turbo or not cars still have injectors that need to be cleaned.

very true, now i have a decision, i have 3 good ones, i guess it is a flip a coin kinda deal, haha, i love cars

Do it right take it to injection+ , its near Adams pick a part. They will clean+flow test them.Pretty good people from my expiriences there.

^^ Definitely a good idea for a 15 year old car. Injector cleaner is not a replacement for getting them professionally flowed and cleaned. Most people with older cars will probably be shocked to find out their injectors are only flowing 70% of the fuel from spec. (been there before!)

Do they also do installs? hate fighting with sidefeed injectors in those rails…

Nope, they wont install them

but yes, Injection+ is place to go.

Thanks for the info anyway!

thanks for all the info guys, ill let you know if i feel a diff next week or notice anything diff, thanks again
