Bought Used injectors - Would you get then cleaned?

Apparently only 20k miles on 'em, and I got a good deal. Should I send them in for cleaning?

depends what they were used for r u buying them to replace old 1’s or r they for high performance?

high performance, and came off an aftermarket turbo setup. i have no idea how the guy ran his can though.

hmm, am i answering my own question?

how much is cleaning? I would bc maby he ran shitty gas??? u never kno if u got a good deal take some of that money if u were to pay for them full price and send them out bro my 2cents

whats are they going in?

New Era is $40 for a set of 4

judging from his profile they are for a scion tc?

yep. but i didn’t think of this as a car/engine related question.

more along the lines of…in theory, would you spend the money to clean used injectors? I think its about $60 to clean a set of 4.

new era

yeah, that’s way too cheap to pass up. I always used to send em to rc and it would cost $100 after shipping.

So if you are questioning it. $40 is extremely cheap insurance to aid your performance build.

if you’re near buffalo, Napa on Wherle cleans and tests injectors as well.

40-60 dollars for ease of mind is def worth it

yes

ok will do, thanks for the input.

The fuel will crystalize on the screen. You can simply soak the tips in F/I cleaner for a while before you install then run the rest of the cleaner in the car once you get them installed. Two cans if you wanna be safe. Not a big deal and I wouldn’t stress it too much.

If your worried about the source then get them tested.
