Hey guys, I’m still pretty new to the site but I am aware of how things run here and I’m hoping I won’t get flamed with this question.
I have a 95 Toyota Tercel (my winter beater) and the inspection is up at the end of the month. It needs new shocks/struts all around. My question is, do all shops look at the shocks/struts? I’d change them out myself if I knew how. McNeilly Automotive quoted me 1K (sucks being a female) and I don’t have that kinda money. Can anyone help me out here?
hell you buy the shocks/struts ( i’ll give you my tax exempt and discount) and i’ll do them for $300 and i’ll refer you to a shop for inspection/emission if you need it. i beleive it would be aprox. $60 for inspection/emission. or if my dad wants to inspect it maybe even cheaper
i live in castle shannon
PM me if interested, i need money
1k is alot of money. Honestly though youll prolly get away with inspection depending on where you go. WIth toyotas its terrible. Its not so much labor to put them on its more with parts.
You can get kyb struts from advance for prolly around 100 there oem replacements and eibach springs for around 100.
Right now I’m mainly concerned with the inspection. If I can find a place that’ll pass me, then I’m good. After I get my tax refund, I’ll have money to replace them then. I’ll contact you, The1SloR/T (if your offer is still on the table), when that time comes. As for now, if your dad will pass me then I’ll be there in a heartbeat. I live right in Brookline so I’m close. Thanks for your help guys, I really appreciate it.
