Instrument cluster interchangeable?

Will the S13 sohc cluster work in a dohc S13? I’ve been told by various people that the tach will not work, but I’m just trying to confirm that the dash lights and speedo will work without any problems.

My coupe’s digital speedo and dash lights will not come on until the interior is warmed up… I’m trying to find out what causes this. After say 10-15mins (less if it’s been out in the sun or if it’s a warmer day) the speedo will come on as well as the dash lights. It’s gettin really cold really fast and it’s starting to annoy me a little.

So I’m thinkin of temporarily putting in an sohc (since they’re cheap and plentiful) cluster while the digital unit is getting looked at/repaired.

I believe that everything does work. but no, the tach will NOT work.
You can always swap in just the tach unit from a ka24de into the ka24e cluster. i think ive seen pics of this somewhere. you just have to trim alittle off the top right hand corner of the de tach.

pretty sure it just pops right in, unless you mean s14 tach.

i was actually thinkin about the entire unit, im pretty sure it conects right in with nothing to change, i just thought the actual tach display shape was different, maybe im wrong.
