like the title says my tachometer doesnt move when the car turns on its stuck at 0 rpm’s any suggestions?

no its got a 96 ka24de in it and i just think the tach isnt connected but i dont know how to connect it if anyone knows it would be a big help!!!
uhm, you just put a 1996 KA into a 1989?
I’m pretty sure you need a DOHC tach for a DOHC motor.
SR/KADE can use the same tachs
CA/KAE can use the same tachs.
Correct me if I’m wrong anyone…
what wire harness/ECU did you use, Itake/exhuast mani’s? Did you modify the dash or engine harness mating plugs?
yeah you just need a 91+ cluster. i did the twin cam swap too.
but will the 91 cluster work with the 96 engine? and if i get that how do i hook up the tach cause i know how to hook up the speedo
step 1, take cluster out, step 2 remove tach by 2 screws holding it in, step 3 swap dohc tach in.
Step4 make sure the white plug above the ecu has been wired up to match wires.
done.
