Just put a S13 Blacktop into my 1990 180sx and my tach does not work. I am wondering if i need a '91 cluster, a JDM '91 cluster, or just to rewire my tach. Thought my CA one would work but i guess i was wrong. Any info would be sweet.
you need a DOCH tach.
so 91-93 240sx or JDM SR tach

you can use a ca tach, however soemthing needs to be soldered, talk to autodream they can do it for you!

Any more info on how to do this, got a cluster today but it doesnt work. I think it might me a CA one because the part # on the tach itself is the same as the one on my origonal one.
I’m not quite sure what they did, I do know it involved doing something to the ECU though. I got them to do it because I didn’t feel comfortable messing around inside the ECU myself :oops:
Take off panels in order to get to cluster. Unscrew tach. Unplug tach. Plug 91+ tach in. Screw everything back together. Pretty straight forward…
LOL thats what i did. Turns out the cluster I picked up was from a CA. Everything is fine now.
