Inter. Motorcycle Show in NYC 1/20/12 - Anyone Going?

^^ Thanks for sharing man!!

Yeah! Pictures are great.

I’d rock the hell out of this thing

i was down there today. mostly checking out gear, so i didnt take pics

tried on a bunch of lids. ended up driving over to west new york to try on a kali naza at a local dealer (motochanic) and buying it.

A good fitting lid is very hard to find, especially since there are just about no places left locally to try on high end stuff. Most just carry Icon and HJC and Marshalls by Saratoga closed down.

HiSpeed do you have any more pictures of the CF bike with red wheels I quoted above? Especially from the other side? I’d be curious to see suspension setup on that.

got some great pics i see! heard scott russel was there too

I saw him too, but he was in the middle of doing a lecture on throttle control, which was pretty interesting

Nice!

This bike is perfect. :wow

Tube frame, Single sided swing arm, Vtwin, plenty of carbon… except

Judging by the front works, you will die after the first bump on the road. Are they really solid?

lol I noticed that too when I was eyeing it over. looks pretty solid, unless there’s a shock sitting behind the headlight

I’ll see if I can find more info on the bike.

No pics of this though? :lol

                                                                           ![http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/PhotoGallerys/xlarge/12-newyork-ims-117.jpeg](http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/PhotoGallerys/xlarge/12-newyork-ims-117.jpeg)

ooo pretty

I actually missed out on a lot of bikes because of the crowds. Also, everyone was dry-humping the Jap bikes and I could barely get a look.

Any Liter bikes actually look good this year?

I swear I feel like many manufacturers are going in the wrong direction with SS bikes.

R1 finally became half decent looking once they switched to 2 eye setup instead of the bug eye.

Stub nose CBR’s never did it for me and Suzuki seems to be getting bored of the their crown design which I was always a big fan of.

Suzuki litre looks the same every year, which could be good or bad depending on how you look at it. And the Brembo calipers look ugly imo, not like the fancy Brembos you find on the ducatis etc.

Kawi litre looks great, but it looks and feels “fat” compared to the Honda and the V-Twin bikes

Yamaha’s red/white anniversary paint scheme looks beautiful in person, but I think the R6 anniversary edition looks better than the R1 in that color

I think Honda made a big mistake redesigning the front end of the cbr1000rr for 2012. It looks worse than the previous model imo. But besides that the Honda is still my favorite in terms of ergonomics and the overall look of it.

The best looking bike overall was the 1199 (big surprise right? lol), I love the way the back end looks with the small tail section and the wide (200) rear tire. The wheels also look great. The bike is so skinny, the 1199 is like a 600 but with the HP of a litre bike.

Second best looking is probably a tie between the Buell 1190RS and the Triumph 675R

Check out this back end:

Look how skinny the seat/tail/tank is:

Ducati pays attention to the small details, notice the 90* valve stems:
