The intake kit is now complete , after testing a few more set ups with different tube lengths , and more filter sizes etc. I think we’ve found the best solution to get a hp gain with the stock tune and with a custom tune . This kit made 11 more rwhp over stock untuned , and I got another 15 rwhp on top of that after tuning on the dyno .

Here are some dyno numbers from our G8GT :

298 rwhp 322 rwtq stock

309 rwhp 327 rwtq with New Era Intake

324 rwhp and 341 rwtq with New Era Intake and tuning

The silicone components are high temp 4 ply construction , and the tubes are t304 stainless steel bends that are powdercoated black chrome to give it a nice unique look and is also scratch resistant so that they look good for a long time (unlike polished aluminum) , and all the clamps are t304 stainless liner clamps so that the silicone doesn’t poke through the slots in the clamp . This kit also uses a 9 inch k&n air filter . I didn’t see any need to use a heat shield due to the tucked away location of the air filter , it would be a waste of time and money to gain nothing . Retail price will be $259.95 , we will be doing an introductory sale at $239.95 from now until this Friday .

I like the sound great too, has a bad ass roar.

The G8GT is a super quietest LSx car, the exhaust is so quite. But its nice fits the car great. Current LSx engine noise is down to nothing too, piston slap is gone, thick exhaust manifolds and piping. The L76 intake has the extra isolated intake manifold cover, plus the full engine cover. So no injector or engine noise really. The stock intake has alot of sound baffles, for little engine roar when you get on it. Its still quite at idle and low rpms, but changes when you get on it. I sound like a ricer, but its sweet for such a nice 4door car, that shouldn’t be so bad ass.

I really love the intake, but im hoping to get some work done from you guys, im going to wait for the factory coverage to be up, then its a crazzy cam no DOD because i hate it and a full exhaust!

dont get full exhaust, just get an ARH system and keep the stock mufflers. Best non F/I sound there is for a G8.

I have the slp mufflers now, I love the sound from them.
