i have a spohn fully adjustable torque arm, that was one of the best investments for traction i made. bottom line i think its going to be a wild ride letting off the trans brake at 6200 with 5.14’s. im very excited. good traction, or not, im almost positive i will love it.

Why such the wild combo? More cubes, less stall, and less gear you would probably have a faster overall car and be much more streetable. What times does the car run or do you expect it to run? BTW, I hope you have one helluva tranny cooler because with that much stall your going to burn the trans up on the street.

this is true, no argueing that. but i got a screaming deal on a 327 crank, 5.7 rods and 12.5:1 pistons. so i bought them and put them in a block i already had. built a long block with alum heads for under 2000 after all machine work. i wanted to stroke a 454. but after doing a little research on big blocks in 3rd gen camaros i got scared away. as for trannys, so far, i havent had much luck with a 350 trans. i have a tci second gear drum and sprag (similiar to a 400) im resistant to a 400 due to the power loss. we’ll see how this trans holds up. if this one shatters like the past 3, im going to a 400.
rear end is in, love the 5.14’s. made a huge difference, in performance and gas mileage lol. havent put slicks on because its still being “broken in”
sweet

1 MPG highway, 0 city.

lol
What do plan on running with this beast? IF u drive AT ALL on the street u better have a trans cooler the size of your rad. for a 6200stall. Your trans slips (a good amount) untill it gets to the aprox. stall speed. Cripes…thats alot of gear and stall. Great for the 1/8mi.
Wanna run em on Zee Highway…snicker-snicker:lol:
right now i just baby it around till i get to a quiet location for couple burnouts, then take it back home.

mid 7’s @ lanecaster??? its a little 331. i dont want to get my hopes up and wish for times that are out of reach. but if it hooks with slicks, it will be interesting.

all that sacrificing street driving fo mid 7,s? that dosnt seem worth it
i could easily drive it on the street. i took it down the 219 do break in the rear end, and got about 12 mpg at around 60 (no speedo). as far as mid 7’s go, its just an aim. i might be high, might be low? all depends on traction.
5.14:1’s?! Holy dump truck gear.
6200 stall and 5.14’s and if you don’t run in 6’s your driveline setup is way to much
we’l see.
