I just can’t believe kids actually consider themselves “emo” … I thought the whole “emo” thing came out as an insult back in the day for kids that listened/played music that wasn’t pure hardcore.
alot of people say it just because its the new “scene” its the cool thing to do i guess
but to say that all “emo” kid sit in the corner and cry is fucking dumb…
i listen to all the same music the “emo” kids do and i dont cut my self or sit here and cry
scenesters
i am pretty much cooler than all of you kids, so i can pretty much say that all of you are super lame.
Theres a bunch of kids like that at one of the malls around here. They just walk around and dont buy anything.
I felt like asking them where the goat sacrifice was.
you also felt like buying a hyundai.
:bloated:
please don’t feel anymore.
^^ ROFL
Emo is retarded.
IMO people are just trying to be like that now to be trendy and shit
maybe I am a little ignorant but,
whats the real “theme” to emo? (besides a guy crying after sex as he puts his girl jeans back on)
how did EMO all start?
it’s funny that there is so much “emo” hate from people who don’t really know what it is… people who are saying this probably think that one of the following bands is good:
SHIT:
sublime, dave mathews band
or think that these bands are “hardcore”:
lincoln park, slipknot, korn
The thing is, just like anything, there is really really bad emo, and good stuff.
What i think alot of you think is emo is actually a horrible pop-punk emo hybrid… which sucks.
Here, ill host some tracks (at shitty resolution though)…
Good: (death cab for cutie - soul meets body.mp3) [good music, kind of a little wussy tho, well thought out lyrics]

TERRIBLE: reliantK (the lyrics are simply awful)

AND THIS IS JUST AMAZING (not emo):

Sublime was good.
Dave was at one point or another, good.
Some of that music you sent me was good.
I don’t know what emo kids listen to, or what the hell an emo kid really is.
I just know that the kids that dress up like they are going to a cemetary are most of the time kinda wierd.
I asked one of my friends little bros that I grew up with, “what’s with all the black clothes and stuff.”
Go figure this is what he replied with : “I dunno, I just kinda like it. I’m not cutting myself or anything, but I do wear a clothes like that. It’s comfortable, and Im not exactly up to date with clothing styles, so I figure this style really doesn’t change and i can keep wearing it. I like Puff Daddy too.”
Plus in high school, an “ex-emo’er” that I am good friends with now was just telling me how in high school, everyone was just looking for a click pretty much. One of his good friends started dressing/doing/living the emo-thing and so did he.
Now excuse me, as a go get a box cutter from the mail room and cut myself. :mamoru:
I took my g/f to the my chemical romance concert in cleveland, and there were millions of them. made moshing a lot of fun!
seriously, it’s just another trend, like skaters or wiggers or mimes.
I like alot of Linkin Park stuff that I’ve heard, but at the same time, I almost feel guilty listening to it… Like it’s watered down enough that 98.5 probably plays it. (I wouldn’t know because I refuse to listen to that station)
Korn I’ve only gotten into recently, and it was because of their appearance on South Park a few seasons ago.
All of these trends though, I’ve never really gotten into them. Even when I was a raver, nobody ever knew it by looking at me.
I don’t get it…freaks, goths, emo ppl, thug, prep, whatever people wanna be categorized as is retarded…like dressing in goth clothes for example…does ur whole closet have to be all black? or black and green stockings? when r people gonna just grow the fuck up… people might call me a prep, or whatever u wanna refer to me as, but I just flat out wear clothes…I’m not ghetto, I’m not preppy, I’m not skater, emo or goth…I just wear what I like even if it is from a store that all “freaks” or preppies shop at…if I like it, I’m gonna buy it and wear it, even if that means wearing my hot topic t-shirt with my abercrombie jeans :gasp: (<—did he just say that?) I’ve been around all types of people…I’ve been to parties where everyone was wearing all black and I showed up wearing a pink polo and bootcut jeans with flip flops and did it matter to me? no…of course I got looks like “wtf is this kid doing here?” but most of the people were pretty cool, just not exactly my kinda crowd being that we had nothing in common, but it was still a good time…and yes, I agree, everyday should not be halloween
btw, all that was nothing having to do with what any of u guys posted…more like “why the hell do people purposely go out of their way to put themselves in a category?” kinda thing…problem is people don’t know who they are, only who they’re trying to be (I don’t mean everyone, just the people that make themselves stick out/ try to not stick out but do anyway)
i could destroy you, but i think i will just go ahead with this one statement:
it appears you puposely go out of your way to put yourself in a category of being a huge douchebage, way to blend in.
I wasn’t trying to offend any1 with that…I just don’t understand why people do that
because people want to dress how they want to dress. would you instantly don a kimono if you moved to japan? no, because you would want to wear what you felt comfortable in.
well, that was exactly my point…I admit, I screwed it up with that long post, but that’s what I was trying to say…wear what you want, don’t dress a certain way because other people do…and that seems to be what’s going on a lot…people wear something just because they see their friends wearing it or whatever…if you really like it, go right ahead, but I think it’s stupid to dress a certain way and walk around in huge packs of people that look exactly the same
are you serious?
you just admited that you wear boot cut jeans and flip flops and a pink polo?
you would NOT be wearing that shit if everyone else in the country was wearin moon boots and and silver jumpsuits, i dont care what you say. you buy it because it is rammed down your throat, because your friends wear it, its just on a more grandois scale.
people DO dress how they want to dress…
the fucking terd emo kids say the terd preppy popped collar kids suck, and vise versa… stupid…
these people go to greath lengths to cut their hair in the most retarded way possible… the ray charles special… and the clothes… ugh whatever… but dont go ripping on preppy kids… for their popped collars… emo kids do the same damn thing… just in a different way…
and on another note… haircuts are such a waste of money… I spent $40 like 5 years ago or more for a electric razor… with the #2 plastic thingy every other week, it has to be down to pennies for each haircut now…

and I’m sure you took a a couple thousand spools of thread and a pack of needles and made your entire clothing collection by hand… you invented everything you wear yourself… and of course were the first person to do it…
I’M AN INDIVIDUAL! people that think that is soley based on your clothing make me angry…
haha, you are just mad because you are a fake straightedge kid. i think your face is a waste of money. and space. sweet.
