The DMV might be able to look it up based upon a VIN number, but I doubt they would do it due to privacy reasons, etc.

If you still have the guys email or phone number you sold it to, try to contact him that way. If he sold it, see if he has that persons contact info.

Possibly if you had a vin run a carfax on it and see if its been serviced anywhere then start from there? Other than that if it left NY a reg abstract would only show you as the last owner. Maybe CT has something similar where you can get a reg abstract from them?

The person I sold it to was in CT, me and nedz32 dropped it off at the dudes mansion, insane house lol. ill try and scoop up the vin first i guess.
