Any updates AJ?
well drove a little over 100miles this weekend (lots of highway mainly and lots of city as well) and the code came back
P0172 - System To Rich Bank 1
What else can this code be? Ive researched it 100x and it always comes up as o2 sensors are the fix (hint why i did both o2s). What gives now… Ive had the code since this time last year, so its not something “new”. I just need to get the car inspected and cant w. this stupid code.
As for the redline issue, its still here but the car runs perfect up until that RPM Range. So for now im worrying about the CEL.
Did a lot of research and narrowed it down to:
O2 Sensors - Replaced
MAF - 90% sure its not this
FPR - Its only a 50-60 dollar part, might as well replace it but id like to test it before hand. How tho?
Leaky Injector - Highly doubt this, they said my oil would smell like gas(doesnt) and id have black smoke(dont)
Vacuum Leak - Very possible, old cruddy vac lines.
I am replacing the vac lines, just trying to find out what size i should use, and is it all the same size. Then ill go from there.

thanks pete, since the car runs good (for the most part) im leaving it alone and concentrating on some other stuff with the car. Little odds and ends here an there. Just ordered a 42DD Gauge holder and a/f gauge just for shits an giggles.
i realize this is your car but what you are doing does not make sense to me. there are mechanical running issues with the vehicle yet you are buying parts to modify it rather than fix the issues at hand… :confused
car runs good, just wont go to the proper redline. I also bought a new FPR and vacuum lines. Just wanted to buy something aftermarket considering im almost 700 deep in maintenance parts…gotta buy fun parts sometime! Also picked up new plugs just to be safe
why are you not buying parts off me? could have saved you a decent amount.

nope i work at anca’s, however, i was just at g.a.p. last week dropping off a starter
im starting to lean twards MJM more now, FPR was half what gap charges. Some stuff is more than gap, but gap has stuff more than MJM so it works out.
we can pretty much get anything where i work, and i hook my friends up. don’t think either can get you that good of a deal…
UPDATE: Took the plugs out, they are all gapped correctly. I was told to see how fast it would get up too and at what RPMS (dont kno why) So i did, the car BARELY gets to 90 and thats at about 4krpms. Idk if this helps much but let me know…

Does it feel like it’s misfiring at speed?
well its the same issue ive been having, but i just avoiding going to 5.5krpms. I figured id see if maybe “opening it up” would help any. Well it got to 70 quick, but then to 80 it slowed down and 80-90 was like watching paint dry and the car lost all of its power standing at 90mph (which isnt much to begin with ha)… Im going to re-check my timing yet again today, i already know 1 of 3 settings is off a little but it shouldnt matter because the ECU corrects for that minor off. This is fustrating.
plugs have a little black around the edges, idk if this is normal or what. I dont even know what to tear into next…
