Kennametal uses the Cisco Security Agent. It is a pretty sweet set up. You can look into it on line.
They also have a Cisco VPN…,

we have Panda Anti-virus 7.0 Platnum with a firewall in it… so i think they are basically just looking for a REAL deal intrusion detection program
I played around with Snort a little bit on a windows box, not real successful but I did not put a great deal of time in to it.
then i would run switch level protection from cisco… or a true sms systems will pwn… you can use that for intrusion detection… i’m taking both routes… worm/virus switch level protection with required scans upon pluggin onto my network… along with software install acks from clients thru sms
