for scanning and realtime protection… what are the best, in your opinion? I want to protect my system better and I’m not sure whats good anymore. I hear that microsoft anti-spyware is a good one, but unfortunitly… thats a no go

not getting spyware/whatever in the first place is the best
I’m a fan of Ad-aware. There were also a few times I used Adaware and Spybot, and Webroot Spy Sweeper found thing they did not.

yeah use firefox and thunderbird.
problems solved.
spysweeper hands down … you only want 1 Antivirus installed… and 1 ACTIVE anti-spyware… other than that… use a few for spyware.
