I heard they’re getting the carpet thing for snowboarding but not sure if it’s true
With a massive pool to jump in?
I’d shit my pants. True story.
Yeah, build this and then I’ll be impressed.
my buddy worked on building that place. He said it’s pretty cool. I’m interested in seeing how the synthetic ice works.
I also read somewhere there is a redbull snowboarding comp coming there in July.
they had a snowfest by hsbc arena the one year, that was fucking sweet. concert at night, first night had jimmy eat world, cant remember the second night, didnt stay for it.
was this around 2001-ish? I remember coming back on a weekend from college to go to a concert at erie basin marina where they had a huge snowboarding hill that people were jumping, and Rahzel was on stage.
01-02 Maybe? Molson Snowjam. I remember going to that. Quarterpipe and concerts.
Ya, that’s the one.
I want to say that happened in both '01 and '02. I went to the one in '02 that was in the lots just down the street from HSBC.
yeah, i believe one of the years. they had the Japanese made carpets that act like snow/able to slide on. they also had like half pipes for blades and boards. bunch of different stuff. fun time though.
my mom went to this park thing
$40 a person for 2 hours… no thanks.
they also aren’t doing very good business cause her friend works there and has been sent home 3 days in a row cause there were not enough people in the park.
Oh, I saw this and thought it was just a big ad for all of the cocaine sales in NF.:gotme:
This will fail
I was just thinking about how I missed the snow and cold weather NOT!
Here’s a great fucking idea! Take the one thing the people in Buffalo complain the most about and can never wait til it’s gone and make it available 365 days a year! Even better, make them pay for it!
I am going to go out on limb and say they are mainly targeting tourists visiting the falls not people who live here.
This could work IF done/marketed properly.
Impossible. People don’t go to the falls for vacation. The ones that do can’t swing the $40/person. :uhh:
Plus, any tourist coming to the falls in summer won’t pack the correct clothes to even go to this. It’s real snow, hence cold.
They’ll say “damn, I didn’t dress correctly. Maybe next time.”
you can do down in a t-shirt…
you are just rolling on top of snow… not playing in it…
