Its chopper time!

Yeah that would make them “forward” … haha … true. I have no rear seat, or rear pegs though …

Jay I think I have the old 7/8’s bars off my old honda if you can use them to chop up.
But as far as 7/8’s tube it is difficult to get hold of I know Omslaters said they could order it.

lookin’ good Jay

That good news. Only need to cut some spacers and you’re good to go.

Like Jeff said, go to Roll-On. Only about 10 minutes from you, down Noblestown road. I used to go there once or twice a week. Buck, the owner, has been building bikes for probably 30 years. His wife runs the cash register and knows most of the inventory. There was another guy there, Justin, that was into Buells too.

They have good prices on pretty much everything. When you pick out a rear fender, make sure it’s a hardtail fender (smaller diameter). If you try to line up a softtail fender, it will look stoopid. Ask me how I know.

Front motor mounts are only like $10 each.

Also, check the hd sprocket on that wheel. If it fits you can get a generic spacer from roll-on. We had to get a hd spacer and have it machined to fit the buell wheel.

Nice, I’m going to roll on today!

or maybe tomarrow! to busy today.

Ok, went to Roll On. They are pretty cool but its tricky asking questions that I don’t even know to ask. I guess I’m gonna have to just build this thing and after I find out what I need to know then I’ll ask some one.

So the saga continues with the frame finally being back together. We got the gas tank alot closer to straight. The rear fender is widened. I may perfer to get a new one at some point as this one doesn’t fit the contour of the tire well. Then again the squared off back end is starting to grow on me. I also started the exhaust. I’m not that sure of what I’m going for yet with the pipes. We’ll see what happens when their done.

Awesome. now you need to grown the Paul Jr. chinstrap+goatee.

And the pipes are just about done!

Yay or Nay? I wasn’t too sure how they where gonna go when I started. Just a general idea of where I wanted them to be. Its really growing on me though.

pipes look good

good lines, looks cool

Nice

i like them

x7. They look good.

Quick tip…

The front drive sproket is LEFT HAND THREAD!! and tight as fuck.

I got a 24t with much more offset on he way. I also got a 19" front wheel off a sportster which the buell rotor bolts to so I don’t have to make any funky brackets for that. The rear rotor is being a bitch cause I want to use the buell rear caliper but its designed for a 9.5" rotor that doesn’t bolt to a harley wheel. So I’m getting a 10" and having the machine shop trim a bit off it. They’re also machining up some spacers for me. I might have to tweek the pipes a bit the clear again. Then its a couple cables and some paint and chrome!

i remembered them being tight as fuck. hence why i asked if you had a strong impact as i wasn’t kidding lol
had to use a 3/4 impact before on some other bikes

glad to see it coming along

We’re taking forward controls off of a Sportster Custom this weekend - that would be perfect for your bike. Sportster forward controls are integrated into the motor mounts, too. PM me if interested.

New pipes looks badass too. :bigthumb:

like the pipes… love the rear fender

I think I may have enough bits left over from your old forward controlls to make them work. I’m going to make my own foot pegs. I’ll post pics if they turn out well. Are you removing the mounts with the stantions on them as well, or just the controlls? I hammered the old ones as straight as possible but their still a little wrinkled.
