Its been a while since posting, but ive been busy as hell…
well as some of you know, i bought my JK brand new a while ago with the soccer mom wheels tires… COMPLETELY base with the hopes of building up.
it came with a hard top, which was nice, but a pain in the ass to remove by myself(more to come with some unfortunate luck later)
within the first day, i had met up someone on craigslist to buy some new wheels picked up his rubi wheels and tires.
went wheeling once out and was really surprised on how well it did stock.
as you all know about the mod bug, it hits and it hits hard. back to the hard top…
my hard top was stolen off the jeep, so i ended up picking up a soft top from craigslist for bout 250.00(1400.00 new) and threw it on.
around the same time, i pulled the trigger on a set of 35x12.50 KM2’s, crager soft 8’s a rubicon express 3.5" lift, and bilstein 5100 shocks
i had to make a trip to colorado last week and was waiting on getting back to put everything on.
i called a couple friends to help put the lift on this past sat and heres the before pictures:

Love it!. I just picked up a 94 YJ and threw on some 29" Super swamper tsl’s. This is my first Jeep and I can say that it will be tough to ever own anything but a Jeep. Something about driving with no doors and top is just amazing. I will have to post a build thread on mine eventually.
ugh… tsl’s hahaha i had them on my xj before this, and i swear it sounded like i flying a prop plane wherever i went.
it was a great date vehicle, cause she could talk all she wanted and i couldnt hear shit haha
youll love the YJ, money goes FAST when you get into a jeep. its almost like a mr potato head for adults. theres sooooooo many interchangable parts to make it your own. def check out jeepforum, that place has helped me out so much
what the pics hide is how big this thing is… to give you an idea, im 6’ 3" and its a couple inches taller than i am. its also taller than my friends expedition that he just bought haha
Yea the swampers get a little annoying after awhile but i learned to just turn the music up a bit. Me and my buddies all bought Jeeps about a month ago (sounds gay i know) but 2 of them bought new 09’s and 2 others have TJ’s its usually a good time around here on the weekends! I will post pics in a minute
The picture with the windsheid down, I actually drove around like that for 5 minutes but the wind and bugs in the teeth really ruined that experiance. The other is me and my 2 buddies jk and tj before we went wheeling.
Craigslist def. is your friend i paid $1200 for my jeep. 100,000 miles ( but it has the 4.0 inline 6) and a new 5 speed tranny and clutch plus i got a hard top an some half doors
Someone on another site made a two door army jeep. Painted it flat OD and put on all the army stickers and numbers. It was pretty badass but you could tell it wasn’t a DD.
You should get on one before they start going back up in price. There are still 08’s out there with 0% and cash back. 09’s are tougher to nego now. You won’t regret it, I love this thing. I just back from a drive to Colorado from San Antonio and I had no compliants with the ride
jeeps are gay… like stated before there is really nothing like driving around with the top and doors off. the cleaning time gets ridiculous though as you do some serious modding. last weekend i spent 15 hours to get my tj back to spikity span.
