Then I started to rip he smashed header panel apart, and remove all the broken trim pieces, the grill has a little piece missing but I guess its still good.

More to come, tomarrow, or something.

i have a parts jeep kicking around, so if you are looking for something, let me know and I’ll see if I have it.

holy cow that’s a shit hole. Curious to see how you make it better.

Lots of road sign patching? :nerd:

But in all seriousness. im super glad my zj isnt any where near that bad. Thats gonna be a bitch to patch

I’ve had to patch far worse, but needless to say the more problems I uncover the less happy I get :frowning:

So I picked up a parts jeep today

its a 1995 base model cherokee, in what appears to be better shape.
This is where the problem lies, the bottom of the body is nicer, but the roof is rotted.
The windshield is toast and someone stole some of the dash.
Everything works tho, 4x4, motor, trans ect.
I’m not sure where to go from here, but I need to figure it out, jeepfest is right around the corner.

sorry, but you tow cars with that trailer? good luck on you build, but work on your trailer for when it breaks down on the trail.

that trailer has been around since the 70’s and has towed cars and race cars constantly since without issue. It hauls really well. Ive had a 3800lb car on it without a problem. The trailer is heavy like 1300lbs.

I would section the roof onto the good body. then put a roll cage in it. done.

naxja.org FTW

if you are trimming the rear for bigger tires be careful of the pinch welds

I like to read that forum from time to time. Im currently on jeepforum and hrja

Use the better Jeep Karter, you know you want to!!!

good luck with your build…

i bought my xj with some work to be done on her, i had the same floor boards that i had to cut out and weld. one thing you may want to do is herculiner the whole inside…

its actually pretty easy, and mine looked shit hot when i was done. ill post up pics here so you can see

edit: heres the link to mine

build it right and that thing will be unstoppable… i miss my. i LOVE my JK but, i could just pound on the xj and it would keep going

IF you do decide to make it a rig. i would suggest (after everything is fixed) 4.5" lift, 33’s, a front locker and disconnects.

youd be surprised what that set up will do for you

I remember that build, it was before I was into jeeps hardcore.

What kind of primer did you use? just rattlecan? I planned on doing the bedliner on the floor, with some boat drains so i could hose it out.
