i had NO problems with the floor at all holding up. it was a lil louder and your feet got warm, but youll be fine. its a great investment, esp up there where the salt destroys everything.
your floor boards will already have drain plugs in there. its a jeep… theyre every where… just make sure you tape EVERYTHING!!! once a hole is covered with that shit… you wont get it open.
well its been such a crummy rainy weekend that I didnt bring my camera with me anywhere.
I picked up stock wheels and tires, so I’m rolling on tires that arent flat.
I also picked up s10 leafs for my bastard pack and already cut the eyes off.
Today I went and finished getting everything for my paintjob, because its been misserable and wet.
for those wondering, the $50 paint job, costs closer to $65
paint tray kit $7.88
3 1’’ foam brushes for trim $1.08

2 qts of rustoleum $17.96
5 high density foam rollers $8.97
mixing tub $1.67
gallon of mineral spirits $9.97
3m 220 grit 5 pack x 2 $ 3.94
hand sander $4.64
sub total - $61.88
tax - 4.95
Total - $66.83
new ubolts and centerpins
all the local places want 50$+ tax for 3’’ lift shocks, So i’ll be grabbing some nitro 9000’s from RC later today, hopefully.
They are in the shop, cleaning up and painting the rims, then balancing.
Its been so shitty I havent bothered to move it to work on it.
Thanks again for hooking me up
I also just pulled the trigger on some new shocks, Hydro 8000 series.
I went cheap, as cheap as possible, because it was either these, or relocating, stock used shocks.
i got the jeep up on jackstands and started cutting the springs out ect.
my camera died, because I forgot to switch the batterys so no real update, thats the only pic I got when I moved the jeep.
I need to get my other wheels on it, these are always flat. the right rear leaked 3 lbs by the time I filled the other 3.
Anyways took a messurement, got 30.5 inches at the rear flare.
Free tow strap, my dad gave it to me today!
Big update tomarrow hopefully.
New shocks will be in friday! and yes mindless, the wheels i got from you will be on it soon, gotta take them for balancing. they will be on it before I have to move it again.
I had the Rough Country lift on my XJ and it was decent. I also had the shocks, prob the same ones you got… Theyre called ROUGH country for a reason. They ride like dog dick, but for what you have it for, youll be fine.
I would have installed the shocks and pulled the front end apart, but I hit a snag.
The front end under this jeep is completly 100% junk
I thought it was just upper ball joints, HA all the ball joints and both hubs are SHOT.
So pending checking the gear ratios, ill be swapping the entire front dif out of my parts jeep.
its just not worth it anymore. My advice to anyone who wants to get into jeeping, buy an expensive one. Dont bother buying a cheap one, you’ll nickle and dime yourself to death on it, and buy one thats on the road and driven.
save that other axle and build it. sleave it out, chromoly shafts in, locker and make it stout. if you plan on wheeling it, you never know when you could use an extra axle if yours breaks.
I havent updated in a while, mainly due to not bringing my camera, but also nothing has ben picture worthy.
The d30 is almost out of the parts jeep. I pulled the steering boxes from both jeeps to switch them. Also got some spacers for the front springs to match the rear bastard pack. custom one off piece I had my dad fab for me.
I picked up a transfer case drop for 5$ off someone locally, just incase I have vibes.
Basically I got the front bumper off and all the shit to do with that body wise, been taking it slow, but now that my daily driver is sold, I should be getting more work done on it (driving another project car while I wait.
took these today walking by with my phone, nothing special, but its a picture.
and mindless can see one of the wheels I got from him, haha they wont be on much longer because I have the 31’s now, anyone need some tires?
