He drove it to the track all last year and ran 40 some low 9s passes on it and drove it back home.
At the end of the season he pulled the motor and found vertical cracks in 2 cylinders from running 50+ PSI from his 4202 last year, but that whole time he was still driving it to/from the track.
FYI:
Well I wanted to get in here and post that I hit an 8sec pass, but I only had 1 pass today until it started to rain Had to pack it up and go home. I’m sure if I had one more pass it would have been in the 8’s with only using the nitrous for spool up.
1st full pass of the season and I ran this on boost alone using the nitrous for spool only to get the turd going (nitrous shut off at 25lbs), this was done on 38lbs of boost and the car danced around on the launch and was only able to cut a 1.61 60ft. Track temps were in the 40’s. It was cold, windy, wet and just flat out miserable. It spun so damn hard I had to pedal it twice through 1st gear. 8’s will be a breeze the next time I go out. And I haven’t even cranked on this bad boy yet. A/F was 10.8’s and timing was low at 11 degrees to start the day off, but ended up not getting a 2nd pass due to weather. Oh well, always next weekend. Not too bad for a shake down pass

most of the DSM’s that are always breaking are the ones that look like a 10yo put them together. the people that actually know what they are doing (jake, curt brown,shep, mike rizzotti) don’t seem to have many problems. i mean rizzotti drives his 600+ hp car every year from new hampshire to norwalk for the shoot out races it and then drives home the same goes for curt i’d say thats pretty reliable

i also posted this vid in its own thread. Not bad for the second pass on the new setup and only 25psi in first and 38 in1st-3rd gears. can’t wait to see the car progress this year. he’ll be at MIR on june 28-29th for his only east coast race.
hell if you guys would get off his nuts he would beable to go faster
