I have been trying to do that for the past 3 years, it’s all about connections there. You have to know people that know people in high places to get a good position in a good company that will provide you with a place to stay in a residential compound etc. I have a few family members from Greece that work in Dubai and it’s even hard for them to get me in, you just got to know the right people to score something good.

If you actually wanna make money in UAE, you are gonna see that it’s almost impossible to get a work visa. Simply because you need a company that’s already there to sponsor you for a work visa. That’s the only way. And when you get the visa you can only work for the company that sponsored you. If you wanna change companies, you gotta repeat the process, LOL

It’s not easy getting a company to sponsor you at all. Your best bet is to find a company that has offices here, and then let them send you down there to make some tax free money… But the only time you can go there is if that company has offices down there. Those offices HAVE to be owned by an UAE resident (51% or more…)
Also, the only time it’s tax free is when you are there for 6+ months in a year. Otherwise you gotta pay taxes here (assuming its a canadian company).

There’s tons of other things with UAE visas… we always have to deal with that crap with our staff that’s down there. They have more problems with that than the actual work they have to do (which is BS if you ask me… it’s just politics)
