I searched and this is what i found.

The JDM Vsld have 5bolt outputs instead of the 6 bolt outputs needed to make it work on a s13.

To make it work you have to get either Jdm Axels or j30 axels.
I’m asking if you can you swap out the open diff 6 bolt outputs and install it on the the jdm vsld?
If so has anyone done this? and what is involved?

no you can’t the outputs on a vlsd are special and cannot be changed. open diff outputs would not engage the limited slip function, one of the vlds output shafts is a bit longer to make it work

Ya they are different sizes on the VLSD as opposed to the open diff ones which are equal length. Just find the proper output shafts, I’ve seen some for sale here on SON, don’t think they sold. Or get J30 ones from a junkyard like you mentioned.

i have a set of 5 bolt Z32 non turbo axles for sale, i can’t verify if they’re the same as other 5 bolt axles, though.

Those should fit, it’s an R200 diff aswell.

alright so could i just change the internals. or do i need to get the whole diff and the axles?
