JSEnclosures 2010 Tacoma Build Thread

Here is what i had to trim:
Front driver:

trimmed a little too much on the driver front behind the wheel, i’m going to get another splash guard and match up my trim to the pinch weld like i did on the other side

Front passenger:

Next week i’m going to do the cab mount chop, then i won’t have to be scared of bumps at full lock. I set my coilovers to 2.25" on the driver side and 2" on the passenger side. I’m still getting 2" of downtravel which is what icon recommends so it’s all good.

Is this DIY basically what you’ve got going on for mirror heaters?

yup

Nice. Bookmarked. I’ll try it on my Xterra. Any pro tips??

Really like the truck man

Thanks

Pretty straight forward, the only tip i have is that you can ground the heaters right to the bolt that holds the mirror to the door. It’s a pretty simple and easy mod

My girlfriend got me a cb for my birthday, i will probably start this tonight or this weekend

Got the cb antenna wired up and ran last night. Fab’d up a little bracked out of some scrap steel and used some fastenall T-nuts (Part #3163956) to mount it to the rail. Wrapped the wire in loom and ran it under the truck and up under the drivers seat (which was a bit tricky, but not too bad with an extra set of hands). Had to take off my tonneau cover to get the wire under the front of it as well. It was a little bit of work and took a little patience but wasn’t very hard at any stage. Now i just need to wire up my cobra 75 inside the cab and i’m good to go. Saving that project for friday since i have the day off.

Still need to paint the bracket but here are the pics:

CB Installed

Spare tire and rim came in yesterday

everything should have a CB.
everyone on shift needs one so they can have a pissing match while driving
:rofl

the truck looks good

Just ordered a couple things today for the truck:

cab mount chop plates
tow strap from ORW 3x30 (28,500lb)
New TMPS sensor to fix my blinking light

Did the CMC today. It is sooo nice finally being able to turn at full lock.

Instaled my flyzeye v2w last night. This thing is pretty neat and install took less than 5 minutes.

So many little details, I love it.

Love this truck.

The CB antenna, do those have a normal jack, like a head unit would use?

is this your daily?

No, They use a large coax plug, it’s called a PL-259

Yeah, through the late fall, winter and early spring anyways. The rest of the time i try to drive the s2000 or the bike when it’s nice out.

Python 580 and bypass coming soon for remote start
