As far as Unitronic goes, I’m definitely happier with that than I was on the REVO software. The timing maps are very nice and the a/f’s are right in where I feel they should be. I regularly see anywhere from 11.8-12.3 at WOT.
The only concerns I have right now are part throttle driveability. It’s definitely driveable, however it’s not yet where I want it. After a little researching and talking with some friends (Val/Sonny and a few others online) I’m coming to the conclusion that the 440 green tops that I’m running just aren’t the best injectors. They react slowly and have a poor spray pattern for this motor.
My motor is going to be built over the next few months and at that point I will be upgrading to a set of 525cc Siemens injectors. They’re apparently “better” in terms of spray pattern and reaction time. We’ll see.
Overall I’m very pleased with the Unitronic software though. I’m due for an update this week or the next which is supposed to fatten up the mid range a bit. At this point, I’m more concerned with building the motor. For the time being I’ll probably stick with the GT28RS turbo and slowly upgrade to something larger.
