Just got back from LOG 25 (pictures)....

…and all I can say is that it was prob. the best trip ever…

Without going into too many details…
-had a beer and hung with Clive Chapman for a bit (Colin’s son)
-drove a 400+ whp single turbo 4 Esprit, we got lost for hours in st. Louis, laughing our asses off the whole way
-drove an 02 V8 TT Esprit…simply awesome, torque up the ass…
-drove in a ~150 car Lotus group to the Concours, traffic and intersections were blocked for us at some points
-saw the unveiling of the Exige and what it’s going to be/look like (unreal car…)
-ate some great food, met some awesome Lotus owners, and met Clive Chapman, among many other awesome Lotus people…

Here’s a few pictures (actually a lot, there’s like 5 sets or more maybe) from our Loony site:

I hope to add a video/picture slideshow movie in the next few days to complement the trip.

And for anyone who doesn’t know, LOG stands for Lotus owners gathering. This year was the 25th.

Enjoy the pictures.

Any word on the price for the new Exige? Will there be a sports package like they had for the Elise?

One day, I will own a lotus.

Any type

Yes, much lower than initially anticipated. The base price is $50,990. Everyone thought it was going to be closer to 60K to start.

Sports package, no, it is basically based on the sport pack from the Elise, yet tuned even better. Interesting note, at 100 mph, it creates over 90 lbs. of downforce. Now that is absolutely absurd…

Oh yeah, the supercharger is in the works and has been for about a year now. They’re having issues getting it federalized. They just aren’t promising it at the moment. But it’s in the works.

…hot cars

 to cars with downforce, if i want my car to get heavier ill put a fat bitch in the pass seat

downforce that can suck you off > just plain downforce

hmm…I guess that’s one way to do it…

 great pics and hot rides

Even the Elan? ew.

Now there’s a statement I can agree with…

very cool.

The Elan was what put Lotus on the map?

Sure you’re thinking of the right car? Are you thinking old Elan, M100 Elan? Which one? Either way they’re both sweet, and totally purpose-built.

He’s probably thinking of the one that gets mistaken for a Capri… which even though it is FWD, it is still a very capable car.

The old Elan, OTOH is one of the classic roadsters of all time.
