Just got some terrible news

because they are far more comfortable. a comfortable employee is a happy employee. Happy employees are more efficient. Higher efficency equals better profit margins which will mean he will probably get a bigger bonus.

^

I can wear whatever I want to work. (not to wait tables though…)

I hear you guys on the shoe issue though.

The last pair of work shoes I bought were Sketchers Work shoes. $55, and shipped to my door because The Shoe Dept. didn’t have my size in stock. They felt great on my feet, but within 9 months had holes in the toes. So I just went and bought a pair of shoes from Payless on Saturday, wore them for an hour before they hurt my feet like hell. :frowning: But I guarantee they won’t have holes in the toes in 9 months.

You win some, you lose some.

now i maybe wrong here but… I used to where ole’ school converse all the time and they would fall apart in like 3 weeks. There made in the us arnt they? could be wrong…

Problem is personal hygene and why most offices do not allow sandles and open toe shoes to be worn. I’m not talking about just washing them. I see a lot of people in the summer time who shouldn’t be wearing sandels out.

can i move this to the fashion forum?

this is the truth.

surplus from the 80’s when everything was fucked up, like music and clothing styles…

I could care less about shoes. I just goto Kohl’s and look for the cheapest pair of shoes and get a size 11 and walk out the door. I got my last pair of running shoes for $15 and they have lasted for a few years now, I couldn’t even tell you what brand they are.

I got my dress shoes at payless for $10, and they are comfortable and have lasted a few years also.

I will never pay more than $30 for a pair of shoes.

Most of the shoes I buy I get for work and they are usually specialty shoes. Weather they be steel toe, Jump boots, or what ever so I usually have to pay a lot at the smae token they also last a while. Other than that I usually just buy name brands if they are on sale. I think My last pair of adidas I got form kaufman’s for like 40 bucks. After I wore through them I got I think Nike from kaufmann’s on sale for like 45. I only buy them though is they don;t look like they were made for a moon mission. I really hate that shit.

i wear steve maddens, prada, nunn bush, and other shoes to work

wear steve maddens, osirisis, ipath and docs outside of work.

mizuno’s or adidas for other shiet

why is this a shoe post now?

wasn;t whitey talking about Doc Martin shoes from the get go :dunno:

it always was a shoe post

…for looking like a homo.

i hope you enjoy back pain!

i will always spend money for comfortable shoes, no doubt!

yeah they stopped making docs in the UK 2 yrs ago i found this out when i bought a pair and they fell apart in a week so i returned them thats when they told me that they where made in china! but yeah that sucks

I have no problems :dunno:

and i’m on my feet a good part of the day at work.

:puke:

if it gets me a good raise at review time :gameon:

There’s some truth to wearing proper shoes. I wore old tennis shoes when I put my lawn in (old like missing some of the inside where your toes are). After wheeling 50 wheelbarrows of rocks and dirt across the yard, both of my big toes were numb for about two months.
