i work second shift these days, so i get out of work at 8. my gf and i decided to go to the poppyseed tonight for dinner (love that place)
anyway, i leave work at around 815, and call her. i told her to meet me there bc it would just be faster and easier
so, i get there like 10 minutes before she does, i get out and walk to the front door and look at the hours. they close at 10, im getting there around 8:40. she shows up at 8:50 or so.
dinner was, as always, delicious. just as im signing the check, its around 9:45, i look to my right, and who is being seated???
after asking about 1 million questions via 2 people that could actually speak english, they got like 1 appetizer 2 salads and 1 entree. it took FOREVER for them to order, that poor waitress
The dude in the front left works at Derrick I’m pretty sure, drives an Audi.
After all that…they don’t leave much tip! If the waitress is lucky…she will gets like $2 for tip

Ok devils advocate here, your store closes at what time, and the got there how long before you close(take last order?). i would say it probably happens 4 out of 7 days a week. hours are hours, why not post " Open 10:00am to 10:00pm* * no orders after 9:30pm". If your ranting about it its not the firs time its happened, either get a new job or deal with it. It sucks but someone is still making money.
Late customers are not that big of a problem. It’s just that they come in with a group of people and demand all kind of stuffs. Then ordered like 2 dishes for 4 or 5 people then tip the servers so cheaply. That’s what I’m ranting about.
I was a cook for 6 years. I’m getting stressed out just reading some of these posts - bad memories haha. Fucking slave labor.

If I get a call from a curry farter about a car-“It’s sold” Them and the UB medical students are the WORST people. They bring 6 people to look at a car and then they take it on an hour long test drive, offer you half of the asking price and when you say no they start all over again with the conversation. “You bring car me at UB?” FUCK YOU!!! If they even call and I get that start of an annoying voice- “Car is sold” “You have more?” “No”
same thing happens at the pizzeria, cheap ass Canadians order and have it delivered to millennium hotel 5 minutes b4 closing and driver gets 0 tip. Get off your cheap lazy ass and drive to get your food if your not going to tip the driver.
i mean, really. think about how much easier that was for you, especially in really crappy weather, then tip accordingly
