JVC HD 52Z575 - In Pieces

I have a JVC HD 52Z575 DLP HD 52" TV in pieces. It needed a fan, I wasn’t able to locate the proper fan, and I never put it back together. The screen is perfect, so is the mirror and the rest ofthe tv (other than the fan). The entire thing is completely disassembled. In a box.

I have pics documenting the entire tear down, so if someone wanted to put it back together, they probably could.

Bulb is like new, low hours on it.
Light projector is still in perfect shape.

I got this from my brother to fix it, he said it beeped one day and never turned back on. I got it to try and run, but I heard the fan eating itself, and shut it off.

Make an offer, looking for $100.

so all that is wrong is the cooling fan needs to be replaced, and it needs to be re-assembled? if so, i’m very interested. pm me with some more info if you can, i’d like to take a look at it asap.

Those part numbers are for the fan motors,I’m guessing they’re serviceable and they don’t sell the whole fan?

Could be? I know there are a couple CPU looking coolers… but I haven’t gotten the numbers off of those, because they worked.

That is all of the information off of the fan that I could find.

It is your typical blower fan, but I didn’t want it to be too loud or not enough cfm if I just bought one that would fit.

I have all of the pics stored on a Sony Memory Stick Pro Duo that I’ll give someone when they buy it @ asking price. Or they can have the TV cheap and buy the stick for $20… OR… just get the pics off the stick for me. My card reader can’t read the Pro Duo stick. My camera is in the shop, so if anyone wants pics they will be from a cell phone.

burnt toast - I don’t really have any other information… but let me know if you have a specific question, and I will answer to the best of my knowledge. I’m not a tv repair guy, but I have gotten things to work in the past. Like the 60" TV I have in my living room that I garbage picked and repaired for $65.

Call me 901-1081, I’m available today. I could deliver it if someone wanted it sight unseen.

There is a recall on this TV (thanks blackout).

This means that if someone wanted to put it back together, they could get free stuff.

Monday Lifetime Service Center is calling me back with exactly what the recall is for, and I am fairly certain that it is for the fan.

if they call you monday and it is the fan , im interested

awesome dude right here.
this is gonna be a fun project, hopefully it won’t take me TOO long to get it all in working order

If I would have known you were still gonna sell it I would have offered you 100 right after I found the recall… oh well

Sorry man. Now I feel bad.

burnt_toast has it now, so maybe the two of you could work something out. I just wanted it out of the basement. That TV paid for my night at crash-o-rama. lol.

Great transaction. Good guy.

Don’t worry about it… I thought about not telling you about the recall but I assumed you were only selling it because you couldn’t get it to work, so I figured I could help you out by telling you what I found.

I appreciate your honesty. I’ll let you know the next time I have an HD tv in my basement in need of repair

So hey, I’ll bump this up.

After nearly giving up trying to source a replacement fan for this tv after 3 months of trying, i tried one last time a couple weeks ago and found a place that had a replacement for me. I had some time tonight and and put it back together.

Oh, and blackout, it wasn’t something that was covered by that recall. That was an actual circuit board.
It really was just that one fan, it just happened to be the most elusive fan in the world.

Thanks again jack for the great deal
30 dollars later and I have a nice new-ish tv. I forgot to hook up the remote sensor, so i have to take it all apart ONE MORE TIME lol, but i’m happy. It looks pretty damn good through the HDMI.

This is the second time I got a tv like this that was really just simple fix (although this one took FOREVER to find the part), so never be afraid to pick up something like this and dive into it.

Can’t wait for you to make a FS thread for it

Heh heh saw this and thought Id replace my samsung 47". Good that you got it going. My adventures involved rebuilding the convergence board
