ka head torque specs

he all, need the torque specs on the head bolts for a ka.

i know its somthing like

10
16
23
loosen
16
23
42
60

just cant rember… thanks

In numerical order, torque the bolts down to 20 ft/lbs then again to 59ft/lbs.
In order loosen all the bolts.
Then again torque the bolts down to 25ft/lbs in order than 60ft/lbs.
All of these values are using ARP moly lube. Spec will be different for Oil and grease but moly-lube is recomended.

took me about 30 seconds on google… i cant sleep and got nothin else to do so enjoy.
hope this helps!

Curiously why do you have to tighten in numercial order does it matter ?

yeah thanks man thats awsome

it matters because the head gasket will actualy change shape and you want it to flex out not in to a bubble… its hard to explane…

you can try it non-numerically and see what happens:) if the gasket isn`t snug in a proper way it will blow out te side and well your in trouble then

nahhh then you just do it again!!! its tonns of funn

cant you tell how much fun i had doing it??

edit doing it the first time lol

Changing it in the car is a PITA… Not undoable though, I did it in a night… Is that the new coupe Shawn?

no thats my old hatchie

just saying it was a bitch, id had never dont it before so it was all learning for me

but now that i know all the little tricks and shit i can change one in a weekend, why pete would you like to help??
