i would just like to know whoever has used the ARP head studs for there sr20det. what torque did you torque them at because they aren’t stretch studs therefore you don’t go with the factory procedure. if someone could let me know on how much they have torqued there head i’d appreciate it, i also have a 1.1 metal head gasket.
I used them on my CA. Just use the lube and put in the block hand tight with a allen key. In the instructions it says for aluminum heads torque to 65lbs. I used the factory way of sitting the gasket though. I torqued it down to 30lbs then to 60. Loosened them but on all the way out, just like a turn. Then I torqued to 65lbs. I didn’t degree it though. I know it you don’t loosen them you can warp then head (I no thats with stock nissan head bolts). I just wanted to play it safe so I back them off and then re-torqued them. I used lube on both side of the stud.
