i stopped by and picked up a new torque wrench from sears…point being that is only is good to 75 ft-lbs. so mustang guys…i was planning on doing a head/cam swap this winter, so my question is what kinda torque settings to you need with ARP head studs? i thought it was something around 85 ft-lbs.

well i dunno if the difference is huge or not but me and the grizz torqued mine down to 72 ft. lbs i believe.i think eric’s type r is about the same

the box of arpstuds will tell u. just make sure the studs don’t leak antifeeze. seal them good!!!
did you ever end up buying that 2nd 93 snake? also what kind of heads??? trick flow twisted wedge are badass heads for the money
blk- no i held off on that other cobra and bought an R1. as far as the heads go…i talked with fox lake, and im gonna go with thier stage 1 tfs heads, tfs stage 1 cam, and tfs track heat intake.

Just pick a number. 
Torque wrenches have crappy accuracy anyway since the fraction of torque going into tensioning the bolt is variable depending on friction.
