ARP Headstuds

so i am getting an apexi headgasket and was thinking arp headstuds while im at it.

so i gooogled it. found a post on nico about people with ca’s and hg leaks with the arp studs and all that fun stuff Found here http://forums.nicoclub.com/zerothread/171021

now i also read another little bit of info that stock oem headstuds can hold on a motor with 600 hp. found here.
http://www.nissanforums.com/s13-240sx-1989-1994/11310-sr20det-stock-head-bolts-vs-arp.html
and

The Norris designs s13 running over 600bhp (that’s about 680 in US terms) used standard head bolts
…now what got me on this was USED standard head bolts** as it is no longer in operation lol
i dont care to be baller about shit you cant see. so im thinking of just getting some new nissan oem ones.

please let me know. im positive my motor wont see too much more then 320-340whp by the time winter comes. or if i run out of money lol.

thanks.

edit*
i also read some stuff about not using the arp washers and using oem again. so if its better i get arp then what should i do about the washers.

arp headstuds are awesome. buy the brand new set i have. haha

Jon

i have always used ARP studs and always sold them without issue.

thanks, looks like ill be needing some.
as for the washers? they are good too rite>

i used the washers that came with them and everything seems to be holding up fine…

Jon

The only shitty thing about the head studs is that if you ever want to remove the head then you have to pull the motor because the studs prevent the head from coming off inside the engine bay.

FWIW, I run them and havent had a problem.

The shit you can’t see is arguably the most important…

it probably is, but i mean id like to keep my jazz as hks as possible.
but for engine components internally i can go with any. id use brian cowler or w/e instead of hks.

but i bought arp headstuds last nite lol

FWIW the BC cams give wicked power under the curve compared to a lot of the other “baller” ones…
