KA24 compression question

i have the ka24e engine … the weird thing is that when i start it. it smokes come out, but only for the start after 2 sec the smoke is gone. I did a compression test and came out 160 psi on all 4 …good or bad? anyhow mind you my spark plugs are fried … well not all of them but 1 is like mellted almost lol… any input or is this just a simple tune up to be done up.

sounds like a good compression. . . do some more research at http://www.ka-t.org

good compression, and when was the plugs last done?

160 is still good, anything below 150 is bad.

agreed.

last change of plugs no clue… but what is a good performance wire and spark plugs to replace the OEM with ? cause i think thats going to be next weekends upgrade

NGK. Should be about 100-120.

yeah i have some wicked plugs in there right now they are AUTOLITE. nothing like an american plug in a JDM engine lol they work perfect together so NGK is the way to go … what about wiring from the distribuitor to the plugs?
