Kerry

Any answer I give you will say it’s emotional bs or liberal rhetoric. There are a lot of reasons i feel this country could be made better and I voted for Kerry to try and fix a few of these. In my eyes, Bush has done absolutely nothing his first term in office to help anyone and in typical political form he states how much better things are going to be in he gets reelected. It’s the same BS with Kerry, I don’t believe anything he says either but at least we could have hope if he was elected over Bush.

Rookee - I know Bush is not personally looking for him, but the buck has to stop somewhere and it happens to be the president. Everything is his fault good or bad. He fucked up by not getting Bin Laden but I guess the majority of America could care less that the most horrible terrorist is allowed to kill americans and not worry about it.

shhhhh drama free political thread at this time

would you like my response in sentence, paragraph, page, or dissertation size?

politics is indeed bullshit. And ive never really blamed Bush on the economy. I didnt like his tax cuts, but besides that I cant bitch too much. Im very much against the Iraw war, but I supported it from the get go (although if the reasons he gave for invading panned out, I probably wouldnt be so pissed about it now. But in hindsight it was a horrible mistake either way). My qualm with Bush is his domestic issues and big government and anti-states rights insanity.

which is funny, because the platform of the republican party is supposed to be small federal government and increased state self-determination.

he’s a less-tolerable Reagan.

just wait until we go to war with Iran. unlike Iraq, which was just a shitty secular dictatorship, Iran is shouting “Death to America” in their parliament, and their religion and politics go hand in hand.

We haven’t just opened a can of worms; we’ve opened a 55 gallon drum of them.

or North Korea, or the numerous other countries with far more developed weapons programs and hatred for the US - good job Bush

how are we going to pay for all of these wars again - oh yea, we will cut taxes and run up the deficit more - that will do wonders for our economy in a few years.

ok… so how exactly was Kerry going to ‘fix’ this?

all i see is general hatred of the US… in the eyes of North Koreans or whoever, they hate the US… not BUSH, not Republicans…

Welp it looks like kerry concedes according to the News. 3pm address by bush stating victory.

:cookie:

kerry is going to :crying: a lot

why is the question “how is Kerry going to fix this?” when the real question is why did Bush start this and not take out the important countries and do it all alone. At least with this idiot in office my brother in the Air Force will always have a job. I’m sick to my stomach thinking about my raising kids with this fool running the country - I feel we will be in an endless war while he is around and I felt that Kerry may try to stop this.

you guys are forgeting why all those countries in the middle east hate us… bc we DON’T hate israel. it all comes down to that, it really does. they have such a born hatred towards jews that it makes the whole white-black thing in america in the 50’s look like child’s play. i mean, arrafat once said to bad hitler didn’t finish the job. he employed a retarded kid to blow up a bus… that’s just one instance but the hatred towards israel runs throughout the region until you hit india. once again, it boils down to anti-semitism. we don’t hate jews, therefore we are the enemy, it’s the old ‘either you’re with us or agst us’ attitude. and i for one am glad that they hate us for such a reason. i mean france was invaded by facist regime and now is a safe have for them to go into exile. f haters.

i for one IMHO don’t believe that these countries can be reasoned with. they want the utter anihilation of all jews, and to a slightly lesser degree americans, whites, and christians. while iraq has been handled as poorly as possible abe lincoln said it best “it’s not wise to switch horses when you’re halfway across the river”… problem is i don’t think we are halfway… we’re like ankle deep, but peace in the middle east is lost in my eyes. bc they don’t want peace, they want blood.

2k, i feel ya… but why didn’t we go get him after the uss. cole years ago when he wasn’t hiding… the buck could have stopped there too???

I agree - there are tons of things that should have been done that were not. I could give a fucks less right now. There is nothing we can do but sit and watch.

this mentality right here is why nothing moves forward and the pittsburgh area is another reason why. Example people still living off the steelers 70’s dynasty and the steel mills and wander why the area is about to go bankrupt.

Everyone is still living in the past. You have to campain for the furture not bitch about and live in the past.

Guess what the delorean and 88 MPH was fictional. Kerry isn’t compaining to go back in time to fix GW’s mistakes and he gave no clear plans on anything.

Result = teh loose

it’s the question because you think it’s bush’s fault and kerry is the answer.

bush ‘took out’ the country’s becuase the f’ing UN was dicking around… it was their job to take care of saddam and to ensure that weapons weren’t abroad… it was their job to properly pipe the food for guns money to the right places… they didn’t do dick and fucked it all up… we got attacked at home after the UN fucked around and Bush took the ball and started to clean this shit up.

i still believe that bush or not, this was going to happen… and it would of been needed to be dealt with regardless of anything.

they do hate us because we don’t say we aren’t with israel and that HAS to be the main and probably only reason the middle east hates the US… it only makes sense, but at the same time, the solution isn’t to contact the UN :greddy: and ‘figure it out, by a better means’… as soon as the middle east sees troops moving out and ‘talks’ commencing, they are going to attack the best they can because to them, not fighting a war is a weakness.

are you serious?

look anywhere north of the city.

huge growth.

Cranberry Township was the fastest growing municipality in the COUNTRY for much of the 90s. $400,000 houses sell like hotcakes in Franklin Park. There’s new development everywhere. I’m going through brokerage-paid real estate schooling now to get a piece of the massive growth.

People with money don’t live in cities when suburbs are readily available. The AREA is growing, the CITY is nearly bankrupt.

^^butler county^^

when I say pittsburgh, I’m talking about allegheny county. Shit is going down hill and its a result of the “not willing to change” mentality of the citizens in pittsburgh. I;m not refering to degenerates either I’m talking about the elderly with the I can still do it myself attitude and they are 92 years old and bed riden…

Yet another demographic(?) of people I have gotten to see and deal with first hand. Not bashing them but their stubborness is killing the Pittsburgh area. The towns that re booming IE Cranberry, monroeville, and so forthe are the areas that are accepting change and are capitalizing on it. But a majority of allegheny county is a make up of old steel or Old westinghouse towns and people are refusing to move on.

Fuck 'em.

Let them become the next Flint, Michigan.

Who goes to the city for anything more than Steelers games and Primanti’s anyway?

And they keep voting in the same type of leader.

exactly they are to afraid to change because they still think the city is booming steel town.

they need to wake up, kick smurphy the fuck out and get some one in there that is going to change.

Smurphy is an idiot, how the hell are you going to try and boost the use of the city buy giving a company like kaufman’s all kinds of breaks then rasie the parking rate buy a rediclous amount, Oh yeah that will draw attention to people

And he has been doing stupid shit like taht for years. Now its almost bankrupt and they want to start charging people who work in the city but live in the subburbs?

I;m going to stop now becaus ethis is a whole othe rthread and I;m fucking pissed right now.
