Does anyone have any idea if a Lancia Delta HF Integrale 16v is insurable in Canada? Particularly in Ontario?
It’s a dream car of mine and since it was an award winning 4wd rally car in it’s prime, I’m pretty sure it could handle the harsh Canadian winter much better than the '91 S13 I am looking to buy could.
I have no idea what it takes to own one in Ontario though, nor if it’s even possible. And I don’t know anyone that has ever had one.:/:
There’s a Lancia for sale in my underground parking, want me to take a couple pics of it for you and write down the contact info? it looks pretty sick!
I think I almost bought one and have seen a few so i see no reason why not. You will have to bond with a smaller shop who works on European vehicles though. I would recommend Gran Turismo in Alliston.
Be ready to pay though, these cars are not exactly cheap to own/maintain.
^ditto. my freind Navan has a 1990 from japan. He’s in the process of rebuilding the engine due to headgasket failure. To be honest, after driving it, id rather have a st185 RC celica GTFOUR. Its a old car man. Even getting seals and stuff are impossible, hes having hard times putting it back together.
I met a guy who owned a Lancia Thema 8.32 (Ferrari v8 powered sedan) he lived in Barrie Ontario. That thing went like snot! http://vlane.com/blogs_article/196/history-lesson-1-front-wheel-drive-ferrari
His was exactly like the one in the video on that site, except his had a beige interior if i remember correct.
It’s pretty dirty now but its been sitting there since october. It looked to be in mint condition when i saw it clean. Had i not had 3 cars already when i noticed it for sale i would have been all over that.
I highly recommend contacting Gran Turismo. They are a smaller country shop and a visit there you will see they are crammed with older Lamborghini’s Ferrari’s etc…
