My battery life sucks on my laptop…

Id like to get one that will actually last a bit, when i first got this computer the battery would last roughly 2-3hours no problem… Id like to be able to get the same life if not better

Its an HP dv2000

and the battery replacement number is 441611-001

Which replacement is going to be worth a damn?

Please direct me…

Looks like your stock battery is a 6 cell 4400 mah.

You could go to a 12 cell 8800 mah battery which would last considerably longer.

^ No idea about that company, just the first place I found when searching for your battery model number and they happened to list both batteries.

buy from Dr.battery.com or look in ebay for there batteries cheaper with the same 1yr warrenty

i have a replacement battery for a v6000, battery is a vd2000, ill sell it to ya. its 8 months old i have paper work and all. my laptop is busted so im buying a new one. if you wanna see y jut look at my post above yours

EDIT: is the 12 cell always going to be much thicker than the oem battery?

Yes the more cells, the thicker the battery is…

This has been the case in my experience.

12 cell in my hp lasts about 8-9 hours. its double the size of a 6 cell. good choice IMO.

EDIT: time varies but watch out on eBay some sellers are trying to pass off a 6 cell as a 12 cell.

Yeah the 12 cell will give you a noticeable hump on the bottom and put the keyboard at an angle.

Also good for keeping the bottom of your laptop noticeably cooler.

lately my battery meter still shows 80% and all the sudden it shuts down… when i plug it in and boot it up, the battery meter shows 7% lol.

weird.

send me the model number and part number on the battery to make sure, and you can HAVE the one out of my burnt out DV2000… fucking battery was a month old when the main board quit like every one of them.

nope… recall is expired. i’ll double check the part # on mine tomorrow (it’s @ my shop) PM me a shipping address and i’ll put it in a padded envelope and UPS it, we’re a shipping location too. buy me a RedBull when you’re in town next, and maybe a HJ if no one’s looking.

Anyone got a new battery for a gateway laptop my comp always says the battery is dead so im like guessing all the time when its gunna die. Everything is in a diff language so im thinkin the model num is AS07B31

The salesman at staples tried to tell me that laptop batteries are designed to outlast you laptop itself. I really find that hard to believe considering all I have trouble with is my laptop batteries.

I got my replacement battery off of amazon.com last year, thats the cheapest place I found it for my Dell
