I have two computers for sale. First is my old Compaq Presario. It’s got (I think) a dual core 2.4GHz processor, 2GB ram, 60GB HD, and Windows XP Professional. It’s a 15.4” screen with an internal wireless card. It was a great computer through my undergraduate, but finally ran into some problems.
I think it got left in the sun or dropped from a height and now the screen no longer works. I can actually still log into the computer and open things (sound still registers, music still plays, etc.) but like I said, the screen is broken. There’s also a problem with the cooling fan. The fan still works, but if you put too great a load on the processor, the whole thing just shuts down. I’ve no use for it and it’s just taking up space. If anyone wants it, I’m asking for $100 o.b.o.
The second computer I’m selling is much nicer. I bought this about a year ago as a temporary replacement for the above system. I ended up holding onto this for the power and mobility but now it’s taking up space as well.
There’s mild physical damage from traveling a lot but no hardware/software damage. It works perfectly with no problems. The specs are listed below:

dude your price on the DV7t is a little high. i just got the DV4t which is all the same specs just a 15 inch screen for 550 NEW. your DV7t at walmart isnt even $900 new. i hate seeing people sell something without reasearch. yea i prob should of PMed this to you but now that its typed out i dont wanna redo it but trying to hate on your for sale thread but priced way high. lower to like $700 and i bet you will get alot of bites

I understand. I’m not in any hurry to sell. If no one bites and I want it gone I’ll lower it eventually. “o.b.o.” is there for a reason. If anyone’s interested just offer up. The worst I can do is say ‘no’ I suppose.
Go ahead and call him out. His only posts are in the classifieds section so he really offers nothing to the boards aside from his overpriced junk. Just try to do it like JayS did and provide proof. Don’t say something like “Hey dickwad lower your price so that I still will not buy it!”
Christ, forget it. I’ll repost when I actually need the money with more appropriate prices. I posted a lot of things for sale with high prices because I don’t need the money at the moment. If someone was interested enough to buy or negotiate a price then great. Otherwise, fuck off.

Did my original post say anything about needing money? I’m pretty sure it didn’t. In fact, I think I said I didn’t need the money at the moment. I would have been surprised if anyone actually bought anything I posted recently for what I was asking. If someone was interested at the price I posted, great. why the fuck would you post something for sale if:
a) you openly admit the price is more than a brand new version of what you’re selling
b) you didn’t expect anyone to actually buy it, and
c) you didn’t even really want to sell it?
And nobody would be interested in the ridiculous prices you posted because there are plenty of people here to point out how ridiculous they really are.
