Well my roomie came home tonight and went in her room and this is what she found. Called Emergency maintenance (the guy lives nextdoor) and he came over and told us theres nothing he can do until it stops raining. The ceiling looks like its about to cave…theres cracks all across it. The paint is bubbled on the walls and even downstairs below her room in the kitchen. He stuck a knife up through the ceiling. Im so pissed.
that sucks big time, on a side note, i was inside the mills mall, and that was happing in on of the stores
not that anyone really gives a fuck, but its worse today. and my roomie talked to the owner and he was a dick too, wondering what we expected them to do. Um fix it maybe? Its not gonna get any better and its ruined one room already, and Im starting to think the wall in between ours and neighbors townhouse is ruined as well, including our kitchen downstairs…and our carpet!
i would take out anything in the room that can get water damaged for the mean time. keep stuff away from it you dont want water on and maybe put something to catch any water falling. Then get the landloard to fix the problem.
west mifflin middle school looked like that in 6 or so rooms and the library. good times. gotta love living in paine hill garden

some baldwin cop pulled me over a few years ago for doing that, he said i was avoiding the red light and i told him no, that my aunt works there and i wanted to see if she was working ( which she does) and he let me go :burnout:

THat sucks. I had a similar thing happen in an old apartment. It rained and poured. the water came in for weeks. Pots and pans in my room no less catchin it. Finally the guy fixed the roof, I took 30 gallons of water out of the carpet w/ wet dry vac after one particularly bad rain. It sucked. Your landlord has been informed right? If he doesn’t repair it in a reasonable amt of time he will be responsible for personal items damaged. I would think.
The same thing happened to my bedroom many moons ago. It required that i tear down all the dry wall on my ceiling and remove the soaking wet insulation. Then I had to re-do the roof from the tar paper up. Me and my dad did that part so it wasn’t too bad. My bedroom was an add-on to the kitchen so it was about a 80 square foot section we had to re-do. A repair might be in order for you instead of replacing the roof.
