Learned a lesson in off road driving

Well I learned a big lesson is off road driving in dirt. Over correcting the car when sliding sideways is bad. I think I’ll be taking it easier when learning off road driving. At least the damage isn’t bad.

Here are the pics of the damage

tossing a WRX around on dirt roads is about the easiest thing on the planet, second only to 1320’s mother.

edit: nevermind, thats just a 2.5RS isn’t it. :hsugh:

I’d say that the damage is about as lucky as you can get with what you were probably doing at the time…

In the last pic…are your downpipes cracked now? I agree with Justin though, that doesn’t look bad at all considering…

looks like its just a heat sheild

thank gawd you had the push bar on the front it could have been bad if it wasnt for the push bar.

I know I hit these 2 small trees about as thick as a silver dollar. That push bar saved my whole front end but those trees got crushed. I still need to go back and take pics of where I was driving. It’s a tank trail down here in GA on Fort Benning. very soft dirt and I was sliding around a lot.

trying to be a racecaR driveR?

well I wanted to try my hand at rally x and thought that having a little fun with my rally inspired car would be fun. I had fun at the expense of my light bar.

Probably didn’t help that you’re driving on what looks like some pretty worn down all seasons…

yeah they are worn down I don’t know if they are summer or all season though never really cared until I went off roading. I know I need new tires but I’m looking at saving money and getting new wheels and tires together so I can put winters on these stockers.

Glad you learned a lesson, wel all learn one way or another, I tend to be a “hard way” kind of person, so understand your zeal for driving.

Props for driving a Subaru like it should be driven.

Thanks for the props I do need to wait a few more months before I try anything like throwing my car sideways around a turn off road. With newer tires and ones that are made for going there. Also when I have extra money for when something goes more seriously wrong and I need to fix it.

You done fucked that push bar up! :eek3: Atleast thats what took the brunt of it all, your lucky.

Well I went back down that trail I was on taking it a lot easier this time. and snapped a few pictures of the trail and my car. Here are pictures from my phone for what they are worth

are you a Rally car driver?

that shit is like 5 cars wide. how the hell did you go off?

either way, get teh bitch dirty and have fun w/ it. thats what it was built for.

That looks like an awesome place to drive. I’d have so much fun there.

Yeah I should get a video camera mount that in my car and do some off roading around the tank trails, and post on you tube. That trail really isn’t that big maybe 2 1/2 cars wide.

If you look where my car is parked you can see the tire marks where I slid off.
