Well I really like the look of the pure white light of LEDs so I bought a lot of different sizes and started replacing the interior lights. I bought the bulbs from ebay and http://autolumination.com/
Here is a list of bulbs which I used to complete the interior:
What is cool is that the technology continues to expand and prices continue to drop.
I just bought a couple of these for exterior
I just need to find someone willing to help install the headlight corners. It is very tough without a lift.
Maybe I will have Don help me out next time I am home.
a buddy of mine is the engineer of razorlite
its the stuff on the motorola razor between the keys
on the roof of the cab in that show cash cab on discovery
the suit of ironman in the new movie
and all over displays and such
its a flat film that lights up you can cut it bend it poke holes through it build it into fiberglass and it can take a beating it isnt damaged from weight you could park a car on it and not do any damage
it uses just about the same amount of power as an led and comes in all kinds of shapes
the downfall is its expensive
Yeah, they make almost all replacements
I already did the license plate bulbs and want to do the city lights and maybe some amber turn signals.

The map lights are not nearly as bright (when compared to the footwells) and pretty directional, but if someone turned the rear dome on it be distracting.
^Yeah, like I said in other threads LED is the way of the future imho.
They are expensive right now but they have dropped in price considerably already.
Like any “new” technology they will get better and cheaper with time.
I bought the same lights that I bought a year ago and they were cheaper and brighter.
