That’s odd I have trained several sears stores on this program and you are the first negitive one. Lol

are you sad because Kenmore does not have a fridge that qualifys for the high dollar pkg?

I know for a fact most of the retail stores I serve will be offering free delivery during this as well. I have yet to ever see a store charge 75 bucks for a delivery, independent or big box.

Oh and an original receipt is required. No copies:)

if you buy an individual product (freezer, fridge, clothes washer) It just needs to be e*

If you want to do a pkg it needs to be rated on the CEE tiers (first time this has come into play here in NY)

To participate in the Option 2 – High Efficiency Appliance Bundle Rebate Program, you must purchase three High Efficiency appliances (a refrigerator, clothes washer and dishwasher – maximum one of each type) which must meet the Consortium for Energy Efficiency’s (CEE) guidelines:

* Refrigerator must be from CEE Tier 2 or 3
* Clothes Washer must be from CEE Tier 2 or 3
* Dishwasher must be from CEE Tier 1 or 2

These tiers will eliminate a large majority of the appliances out there.

I will say this is a good time to look at the sales being done at private stores, most have deals coming out the ass due to this program and buying groups stacking both instant rebates in with manufacture rebates too.

It is a good time to buy if you do your research, and can qualify.

That’s so fucking stupid. The only fridges in tier two and three are compacts. New York has the worst implementation of this program of any state I’ve seen. Glad I got my rebate out of state.

Personally I really dislike CEE, IMO it really devalues the E* logo.

Just for that I am going to alter my receipt and submit under a friend’s name. The original reciept on an online order is a PDF file.

The only way they could find out is checking with the retailer. They can’t just disqualify all online orders because they don’t give you a hard reciept

Yea, that may be in a somewhat gray area actually. I will have to inquire about online purchases during our next meeting and find out a ruling.

Original receipts (showing make, model, price and date of purchase of qualifying appliance) must be submitted with the application. Copies will not be accepted.

Man was buying 2 washers and 2 dryers for the motel next month. Might have to move it up a bit and throw in a few fridges.

That is what locks you in for the money, they will then email or USPS mail you a copy of the app.

Don’t worry you have money locked in and just hold tight.

Side note I have been dealing with these problems since 4am, being woke up out of a dead sleep for a refrigerator FTL.

Yeah I got the email…Actually two conf #'s cause I thought I fucked up so I went back and resubmitted. I figured something went down on the backend cause the customer service line is so swamped the call won’t even go through.

That blows, I just spent a shit load of money on a new washer and dryer for a basement remodel.

if I spent $2000 and got 35% off I’d be saving $600 then getting another $550 from the govt.

I can afford $75 + tax and I’ll still be getting about 50% off if my math works out.

I got 20% from lowes (10% normal and 10% employee friend hookup) and 0% interest for one year.
