Lifted my wagon this weekend

his weekend I installed my new Sublte Solutions lift kit. 11 hours later it was finally done, lol. I went with the 1" spacer in the front and 1" spacer in the rear with an additional 3/8" saggy butt spacer. I did have to compress the rear springs in order to press out the original studs and install the longer studs, but the front studs went in with compressing the springs.

These spacers brought my height at the rear of the rocker panel from 8.5" to about 10.5".

Before

After

“Pressing” the original studs from the rear top hats

I also installed an STI rear sway bar, which is much bigger than the stocker and has noticeably improved my cornering

Love it. Looks mean.

I can’t believe the sway bar difference.

Lifted cars are stupid buy a truck if you want to lift something.
if you wanted a jeep buy a jeep.

lol ^

Haha.

Looks good, let’s see it covered in grass and mud!

+1

I know. I should have done the sway bar a year ago.

This was a few weeks ago before the lift.

I didn’t want a lifted truck, I just wanted a slightly taller Impreza.

its a joke because i drive this:

looks good we should go offroad together and just confuse people.
Ive heard those 2 lines from the day i lifted it 6 months ago

^^ I get it now, lol. Your is pretty awesome there. I’m down to go offroading pretty much anytime. How much ground clearance do you have?

I also want in. my vehicle is probably less capable than yours though because it is fat. should be a good time though

i always had a dream of lifting an sti and putting awesome snow tires on it to go off roading / have the ultimate winter car. Im way to much of a tightwad to ever pull the trigger on that though.

looks awesome!

I have a 2inch lift, stock tires are 195/65/15 the BF’s are 205/75/15 so 2in taller tire, overall 4" more of ground clearance.(I also have VR springs in the front and Wagon springs in the rear) I also have the metelnerd skid-plate. I’m in the process of a Heldex swap so it will also be AWD 6 speed.

I’m into this! Looks real good, I think you were behind me on Harlem this morning. I was in a black r32

^^That was me, your VW looks good.

Would Forester parts work? They are pretty much the same chassis? I know that Forester guys use WRX/STi parts…

lower it.

jk. go crush cars with it.

They would work. Forester struts will bolt in, but to do it right you will need different endlinks, trailing arms and such. This is hopefully just stage 1. The Forester struts will raise it higher and allow for bigger tires since any larger than 27" will rub on the factory struts.
