his weekend I installed my new Sublte Solutions lift kit. 11 hours later it was finally done, lol. I went with the 1" spacer in the front and 1" spacer in the rear with an additional 3/8" saggy butt spacer. I did have to compress the rear springs in order to press out the original studs and install the longer studs, but the front studs went in with compressing the springs.
These spacers brought my height at the rear of the rocker panel from 8.5" to about 10.5".
i always had a dream of lifting an sti and putting awesome snow tires on it to go off roading / have the ultimate winter car. Im way to much of a tightwad to ever pull the trigger on that though.
I have a 2inch lift, stock tires are 195/65/15 the BF’s are 205/75/15 so 2in taller tire, overall 4" more of ground clearance.(I also have VR springs in the front and Wagon springs in the rear) I also have the metelnerd skid-plate. I’m in the process of a Heldex swap so it will also be AWD 6 speed.
They would work. Forester struts will bolt in, but to do it right you will need different endlinks, trailing arms and such. This is hopefully just stage 1. The Forester struts will raise it higher and allow for bigger tires since any larger than 27" will rub on the factory struts.
