light bar behind grille

I want to put a set of driving lights behind the grille in my truck.
Ive already got the lights, wiring, etc and just need somebody to make a bar for the lights or work with what Ive got (I cut a green fence post to fit but it flops over a bit) and wire up the lights (without the relay so I can turn them on when I want to) and hide the wiring (Ive got wire loom).

Any takers? Im usually free on Saturdays.

Im willing to pay for it and I can even bring beer if necessary.

I’ll do it Paul

wow… just lol’d at how big my sig is

Well Im thinking I need somebody with a welder and/or plasma cutter to make the bar/bracket.
It mounts to the inner headlight bolts and is a clear shot across. The bar I made is great except its not rigid enough.

I have a welder

take a pic of what you have now and I will get the materials if you want to do it this saturday

lol @ Lance’s sig

He does solid work so it will come out great

All Ive got is a green chicken wire fence post with holes drilled in it and a set of 6.5" Hella lights.

Here’s the basic idea:

haha… that is not a big deal at all. I’ll get the metal… just bring your shit over and we will do a nice job of wiring it.

Im free Saturday as far as I know.
Ive got hammered finish spray paint I want to use on it too.

Where do you live anyway?

I will PM you my address. We can probably pull the front end of the truck into the garage at least… haha.

thats more than I can do in my garage. Its supposed to be decent Saturday according to the paper today.

Ive seen that before but $413 is a bit much and I like my grille better.

I paid something like $65 for the lights and I think theyre bigger and brighter (halogens).

Be careful Jellies those lights can throw some heat and will start to melt your grill after a bit

I approve of Lances signature.

I could make this in 10 minutes. Get a hold of me you should still have my number. PM on its way if not Paul.

I dont plan on having them on all the time so it should be ok (I hope).

My brother has a set behind his grille and has had them for 2+ years.

I got all excited thinking you were throwing some emergency lighting in there for like a volunteer fire dept or something. I get to light up the Z :D. And yeah, +1 to the melting thing. Saw it happen to a friend’s car once, it smelled awful.

I’d do it if I wasn’t at school. Seems like a pretty easy project.
