However, you’d really need to seed everything you ever download from it 24/7/365. Once you’re established and get a good ratio, its not a problem at all. But starting off can be rough.
Ideally, you should have a old computer running a Torrent program 24/7. You can just toss torrents over to it when you want to download new stuff, and it should be done downloading in minutes. Nearly guaranteed to be the format it says, not transcoded, generally with correct tags and art… Its worth the minor inconvenience of needing to seed constantly, if you ask me.
If you want easy, I don’t know of anywhere to go. Limewire always sucked. Its ‘quick’ to get crap, unknown bitrate music, thats potentially being tracked by the RIAA. (Limewire has been involved in most of the recent RIAA lawsuits)

What’s the deal with waiting in line on soulseek? I tried downloading an album and it told me I was number 106 in line. Didn’t move at all in a 5 minute span.
Also, what do ya’ll recommend for share settings?
Basically if it is queued then you’ll have to wait for other users to download the files first. Almost always though you can find someone with the files available immediately.

You can however sort by attribute (bitrate) which is what I do.

Anyone elses Soulseek turn gay? Mine loads up but sits in the task bar, then when I click it to maximize it, it disappears…
Mine took forever to load, but it seems to be working ok.
Hmm I’ll try again later, I haven’t used it in like a month, and it gave me this problem today.
I’m on now if you want to grab files…I’ll leave it up for the night.
