torrents are a pain in the ass for single mp3’s though. A lot of times I’ll still use Shareaza so I don’t have to download a whole CD of shit to get one song and hope it’s seeded.
neg, I use what.cd (much like piratebay just way more efficient) with utorrent and download EVERYTHING, I cant even imagine going back to limewire or some shit and only leaching one song, yuck!! thats what youtube is for… Please anyone with 100 gigs and a computer that stays on should use utorrent end of story…

Ya it seems it, i just want to make sure I can mess with the settings to make it “safer” for her, she is a girl so… But I tried to look through the options so I can make it so she can’t share anything but couldn’t find it.
www.btjunkie.com is what i use with my torrents and videoslurp is what i use to download youtube songs and or videos in hd and mp3
i use transmission for torrents, and when i open the torrent it gives me option to select which files I want to download and which i dont. So if im looking for 1 song, i’ll grab the torrent for the album, launch it in transmission, then deselect all but that song. Should download fast and without all the noise of the full album. You can actually get the Album art too, that way you can organize your music folder and drop the album art in it.
You can do that with utorrent to people are lazy…
Groovr’s really good for single MP3s, mass library and downloads real quick. Good stuff. Needs Adobe Air to install/run it (Link).
So I built a new computer, transferred all my music, but figured I’d ask again to see what people use today to download music.
I still don’t do torrents, my gf does, but she has so much shitty music on her ipod from downloading every cd rather than only good songs…
So whats a good program to use now a days to download individual songs?

No,if you find an HQ copy the quality is actually quite good. I usually look for the official lyrics video if they have one.

I’ll rip 128 kbps for the car, but you are missing a lot of content if you think youtube is “quite good”.
